The online fair had three digital booths operating, where students could either engage with staff in a shared chat environment, or elect to have a private one-on-one conversation with a staff member.

In the 'Course Advice' booth, admissions staff and an academic answered questions pertaining to the program and admission requirements. A pre-recorded video by Associate Dean (Academic Operations) Glen Jennings was available for students, which provided information about the Foundation Studies (FS) program structure.

Participants had a chance to learn about student support, including accommodation options.

Two FS alumni (from the Philippines and Vietnam) gave a live presentation and were available to field questions about life in Melbourne. This proved very popular amongst students wanting to know what life was like from a student's perspective in Trinity and the city of Melbourne.

In all, 38 students attended the event from their home countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines. Some students were just at the enquiry stage and others had received an offer; whilst a few had accepted an offer and were planning on flying to Melbourne soon.

鈥淚t was great to receive support from across the Pathways School, with 13 staff participating, together with our two alumni,鈥 said TCFS Associate Dean (Marketing and Admissions) David Bunyan.

A second Virtual Fair is being considered for the second half of the year.
