The occasion brought the residential community together and was considered a great success with over 260 guests in attendance.
Parents received the true college experience, dining in the Dining Hall Marquee, and were brought up to speed with the numerous activities that students have been engaging in, from sports to leading clubs and societies.
Nobel Laureate, past parent and patron of the Trinity Institute鈥檚 Summer School program, Professor Peter Doherty, gave the keynote address. His lighthearted speech was entertaining for all as he advised students with good humour how to become a Nobel Laureate.
The evening was also a chance to celebrate and thank Dr Sally Dalton-Brown, who has been Acting Dean of the Residential College this semester. Under her leadership and ever-present support and wit, the College has continued to enjoy many successes.
The musical talent of students was showcased throughout the evening. The newly formed 国产BT Orchestra performed the Waltz from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty, March Past of the Kitchen Implements by Vaughan Williams, Sondheim's Send in the Clowns and Arthur Benjamin's Jamaican Rumba. The Trinity Tiger Tones and Siobhan Stagg (TC 2007) also performed.
